There are many debates around whether or not mink lashes can be obtained ethically, with many beauty companies claiming their mink lashes are “ethically sourced”. However, animal welfare organisation PETA has advised this is not the case. The minks are often confined to small cages and kept in unsanitary conditions, resulting in harmful practices that support an industry of fear, stress and physical hardship towards these cute furry animals.

False Lashes vs Lash Extensions

You may have heard of lash extensions - a procedure that involves applying individual lashes to your natural lashes to enhance volume and thickness, and create length and curl. With proper care, extensions can last six to eight weeks. 

While waking up with selfie-ready lashes certainly sounds appealing, there are some major advantages to choosing traditional, synthetic stick-on lashes over extensions.

No up-keep

Zero. Zilch. No regular appointments to attend for refills - hooray! Once you’ve mastered the art of applying false lashes (it’s easy, we promise!) you can simply pop them on and take them off as you please.

No damage to your natural lashes
